FAQs
Why?
Simple. For too long men have been told as they age a few things will happen: decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, fatigue, joint pain, loss of muscle mass, and so on. While some of this is unavoidable, there are treatments available to drastically improve all of these problems. The issue is a lot of men don’t want to be honest about the symptoms they have. Another truth is a lot of primary care providers either don’t know how, or choose not to provide services to correct some of these issues. For too long men have been told it’s basically downhill from a certain age. We disagree. We have seen differences with treatment. We have seen lives changed for the better. We just want to make this option more readily available for men who seek it.
Do you take health insurance?
Short answer. No. Insurance muddies the water and adds a lot of red tape to the process of getting you the help you need. Insurance does not often cover the services we provide. If they do, it is only done until you reach a level deemed “normal”, and then you are left to pay out of pocket to continue treatment if a provider still deems it necessary.
How much are your services?
Good question. Simple answer. It depends. Which services are needed and selected ultimately determines price of a monthly membership. Typical TRT treatment will cost you around the price of an average monthly cell phone bill. A la carte or add on services are also available for varying prices.
Initial consult will be $200. If you need treatment and decide to move forward, this will be deducted from your first month’s cost. Each service is individualized and there is a chance consultation fee may be lower depending upon services desired.
So what’s included in your monthly membership?
Glad you asked. Monthly memberships will include visits with provider, labs as often as needed based on your treatment plan, medications, and supplies needed to administer medications. You may also return to the clinic for administration of medications if you desire this as well. No hidden costs. Everything will be explained to you up front.
Why don’t I just ask my provider for this service?
You always have that option. However, most primary care providers are not interested in the optimization of hormones. You typically sit in a crowded waiting room (pay a co-pay), get laboratory work completed (pay a co-pay or out of pocket for what insurance won’t cover), follow up with your provider (another co-pay), if they agree to treatment, you then have to go to a pharmacy (pay for medications), If they don’t agree to treatment then you a referred to a specialist (another drive, another co-pay), then repeat the process one month later. See a pattern? A lot of travel, visits, and co-pays. We take care of everything we possibly can under one roof, for one monthly fee.
Does everyone who shows up get treatment?
No. We will do a consultation as described above, complete a physical exam, discuss symptoms and goals, complete laboratory panels, and then follow up to discuss results and treatment plan if indicated (Don’t worry this is all included in your one monthly cost). If treatment is indicated and desired, medications will be ordered through a pharmacy and shipped directly to your home. You can then either administer your prescriptions at home, or come to the clinic for administration, again, at no additional cost.
How will I know if treatment is working?
You will have regularly scheduled follow up visits and lab work to monitor your numbers. At your follow up appointments we will discuss your physical symptoms, and how you are responding to therapy. Although labs are important, again, we are not just treating a number. We are treating you. We take a team approach (us & you) to discuss any treatment changes and recommendations on therapy. We focus on individualized treatment, and not just a “one size fits all” approach.
What if I want to cancel my membership?
First off, we hope you don’t. Secondly, there is no fee for cancellation. If you are unhappy with service, you can just let us know you would like to cancel. Upon cancellation, no further charge will be incurred by you, unless you would happen to have an outstanding balance, or are not up to date on your payments.
